Parent Coaching & Educational Consultation
Newton Neuropsychology Group now offers parent coaching and educational consultation with school psychologist Ali Shwartz. These services may be helpful for families struggling to understand and modulate their child's behavior, educational needs, or help with navigating the IEP process.
Initial Session
An initial consultation session will be used to understand the family’s background, concerns, and goals and typically involves only the parents. The information gathered here will guide the creation of a tailored plan for the child’s and family’s needs.
Subsequent Sessions
Subsequent phases may include observations and discussions focused on educational and/or home recommendations. These sessions may involve collaboration with teachers and other relevant professionals to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the child’s strengths and challenges.
Depending on the needs of the family and child, suggested next steps may include intervention strategies, short-term coaching, or referrals to external collaterals.
